Tonight my wife and I had the opportunity to screen the faith based film "Eternal Salvation" from Eternal Salvation Productions. The film is produced by Tim Gautier who also wrote the script and features a cast that
The first thing my wife said after the screening was complete was "That was a good one! I really liked it."
Here is a synopsis of the film:
Jonathan Wright (Bradley Snedeker) has it all, a prestigious job,
incredibly beautiful wife Amy (Jessica Morris), gorgeous 7-year-old
daughter Megan (Isabella Cuda) and countless friends. Having recently
been appointed to Sr. Vice President of business relations for a
well-established investment banking firm, Jonathan believes he is on the
fast-track to reaching the apex of his career. He and his team have
been assigned a new client’s billion dollar account.
In the prime of his life, Jonathan suffers a life threatening brain
aneurysm that leaves him comatose. After regaining consciousness, he
begins the grueling task of rebuilding his life. During this difficult
time, he is determined to find the true meaning of life.
He realizes that everything he thought was important in life is just
vanity. This new revelation takes a toll on his professional life and
his entire world begins to crumble around him. He is ostracized by his
friends. The only person who doesn’t question Jonathan’s quest for
truth is his colleague, Paul Jenkins (Darren Dupree Washington), a
devoted Christian.
Paul takes Jonathan under his wing to mentor him spiritually. During
this spiritual journey, Jonathan is forced to confront the sins of his
past before discovering the truth that waits in his future.

FILM REVIEW - "Providence"
The film, though silent, speaks loudly to the theme of the movie that "Love Needs No Words". The filmmakers describe their film as a "beautiful romance that is told in silent cinema style, using only dramatic action and a soundtrack of eclectic indie music that portrays an emotional journey of love." This description fully encapsulates the fact that the well planned scene changes; the highlighting of each scene with powerful, relational music coupled with a strong, professional cast tells the story without the need for dialogue.
The cast includes powerful performances from Juli Tapken, Rich Swingle, Stacey Bradshaw, Josh Allen, Emily Knapp, Chase Anderson, Irene Santiago and many other supporting actors and actresses. All seemed to work together as a team to tell this thought provoking story.
Because there is no dialogue you find yourself paying extra attention to all of the little details so that you don't miss any piece of the storyline. We can't wait to see the movie again when we show it here in Vermont on May 29th. We just know that we will continue to pick up new thoughts and ideas even though it will be our second time seeing the film. We were fortunate to show the Wilharm's first silent film "The Good Book" and each time we watched it something new jumped out at us and we expect that to happen with "Providence" as well.
Here's a little information about the film:
Rachel Cartwright and Mitchell Little grow up in the small town of Providence, Tennessee. Their paths keep intersecting and at one point it looks like they'll finally get together. But the opportunity slips away and they go their separate ways. It takes a tragedy many years later before they're reunited. This time will they let the moment pass or will they finally overcome their insecurities and connect with their soulmate?
